I have been reading Donna Hay cookbooks and magazines for the past 5 years. The first time I picked up one of her magazines was becasue the photography was so fresh. Then I started cooking the recipes ….. I probably am one of the biggest US fans. Whenever someone asks for a good beginner cookbook, I always turn to a Donna cookbook. What do I love about her recipes? I love that they are seasonal, very few ingredients, they use fresh produce and they are easy and delicious.
I am really EXCITED to announce the relaunch of the Hay Hay it’s Donna Day Event! I took over this event during the holiday season with all intentions of taking it to the next limit; but, then life took over, unfortunately. One of the things I really wanted to do when I took over this event was to get Donna Hay involved. I know, I dream big! After some digging around I was able to find a contact, who at the same time was looking for someone who was involved with HHDD. I guess you could say it was fate! After a few emails back and forth, explaining the event and the passion I have for her simple and delicious recipes, I asked the question I never ask, would Donna be interested in donating a signed copy of her latest (and very beautiful) cookbook, Seasons, to the event as a kickoff for the relaunch of HHDD. I was completely thrilled when the answer was YES! (okay, now I feel a little like Oprah)
The number one rule for this event is to have fun. Please check out the the rule page for more information.
