GYO: Soba Noodles with Kombu Broth
Submitted by admin on Friday, 27 June 20086 Comments
In honor GYO (Grow your Own) this month we are submitting this tasty dish we created last night. We used the sugar snap peas from our garden. E from MEM planted them this year and they are really taking off. Every time we pick a couple, we seem to get a handful, it is GREAT. They are crisp and very sweet, perfect raw or cooked slightly with this wonderful Asian inspired broth.
Simple. Tasty. Spicy. Healthy.

I’m envious of your sugar snap peas! I tried to grow those and some snow peas this summer but the plants never sprouted. I’ll just have to keep trying! Thanks for supporting Grow Your Own! Your dish looks so tasty!
I just picked some sugar snap peas at a local farm. I sure wish I could grow some of my own, like yours. (The photo is fab, by the way)
Your soup looks delish, I love this kind of dish. Your peas also look great, now I want them in my garden! Great work on GYO.
Lucky lucky you! I love sugar snap peas! Tried growing them once, but they never really took off. Mine are fingers of death, methinks.
This looks just perfect. I am trying to find the perfect miso / kombu soup. I will give this a try
