Easy
(OOOPS, EYE PORN on its way) Trying out new lens and these photos are not really eye porn; yet, anyhow!
We are trying to get back into our gym routine. Last year we were freaks about it. Spinning 3 days a week, climbing occasionally, biking on the weekends, it really did not stop until we got back from Costa Rica and the La Ruta race, that Lenny did. Burn-out or being lazy or maybe too busy, not sure, but the 5 or so pound is screaming to come.
Tonight we hit it. It always feels great, when we come home feeling good and HUNGRY!! The part about the whole gym thing is, we don’t get home until 830ish, which, means we need quick and easy for dinner. Tonight was the ultimate easy, clean out the fridge night. We only had some left over cold cuts (fresh roasted turkey and roast beef) from camping, spring mix (with the secret dressing), fresh sliced heirloom tomatoes, thinly sliced baby red onions, a GOOD warm French baguette (we are snobs when it comes) and a couple cold beers all set up as a sandwich bar, out on our ultra warm deck; yes, it was warm enough to eat outside, WHOA! Nothing like a freshly roasted slice of peppered roast beef slapped between a hunk of warm and crusty baguette with all the toppings.
While we are cleaning out the fridge to make room for all of summer abundance, we decided to finish up the Brown Sugar Strawberry ice cream I made the other night. What? You didn’t know about it? We’ve been eating it all week and not sharing? I forgot to tell you about it? Let me ask this one question, what is so romantic about strawberries, brown sugar and cream? I am really not sure either; but, we had a couple pints of fresh strawberries left over from picking and I had to do something, so I macerated them with brown sugar and a dash of Grand Mariner and turned it into ice cream. SLURP!
Recipe!

Oooh…brown sugar strawberry ice cream…very sexy! Please, please tell me you guys fed each other and accidentally it on each other!
Spin? Gawd you guys are crazy! I’ve always wanted to try it, but need to SLOWLY start riding my bike before I even dare venture into a class. There’s a whole separate group of muscles that need to be worked there!
Once…..last year…..the last time i rode my bike….I rode about 5 blocks, then back home…..and I passed out! I was sore the next day. That’s how out of biking shape I’m in!
