Ape Diet Day 7, 8, & 9

Submitted by admin on Wednesday, 16 April 2008One Comment

Well, we have made it …. and we are going to try to keep going at least until we land in Boston tomorrow afternoon! This is a quick post for many reasons, finish up some last minute packing, do some work and frankly, writing about only veggies is not that exciting! I am feeling pretty good at this point, it has been challenging, especially when it came time to make lunch for MEM; but, otherwise I did feel as if I have done okay; if, you do not count the glass of wine I had at a meeting Monday night ; oh, and the marshmallows I had to taste test before writing a post yesterday. I am definitely lighter; but, am not going to weigh in until tomorrow. Lenny, has been light-headed, has had a headache on and off (and it was not me) and evidently has been pretty hungry ….. he has slipped more than I have ….. yogurt yesterday, granola today, a few marshmallows during the taste-test, etc… but, he has lost about 4 pounds. Update – 6 pounds for me WHOA!! I am super excited, I hope I can keep it off during our Boston Food Fest, eeeeeekkkkkkkkkkssssssss!

The last three days have been filled with tons of fresh fruit, that seems to be the easiest thing to eat a lot of, as well as sugar snap peas and carrots. Dinners consisted of slightly warmed asparagus, squash, peppers, and lots of tomatoes…….. Definitely, it more of a challenge when you are not cooking your meals. I can not imagine eating “raw” all the time.

Was it worth it? Well, my clothes are loser! We are not sure of Lenny cholestrol, which was the main reason for doing this, he needs to get it tested. Would we do it again … maybe, just in time to get into that bikini for Palm Springs in May! ;)

this diet name reminds me of the phrase “ape shall never kill ape” LOL

while your dinner looks absolutely gorgeous and will certainly be perfect for my waistline reduction program, upon seeing me serving something like this as anything other than a side salad, my sous chef would jump, hit the roof, scream for help, and run to the nearest chinese fast food joint and get back with a plastic bag full of rice and chinese bbq pork (the last time i made sandwiches for dinner he got pretty suicidal) lol

however, stumbling upon an article on how good banana is for our body, he suddenly went ape-like and decided to eat at least 1 banana a day…until he saw another article discussing how good bitter melon is for our body and he started to swear “@#$#@$@ are u freakin kidding me? are they telling me that all fruits and veggies are good for us??!!!” hahahaha hell yeah

i need to be in bikini ready shape before end of may, and i am nowhere close! helpppp!!!
